Responsibilities:
1. To provide technical support to Asia-Pacific R&D teams for the selection of fasteners or materials;
2. To contribute to the definition of the technical standards (rules) for the group;
3. To promote Schneider technical rules and best practices related to material and fasteners by writing guidelines or directives;
4. To capitalize and share technical knowledge among Schneider entities;
5. To contribute to the definition of the purchasing strategy of the group;
6. To provide support of Asia-Pacific R&D teams for the localization of fasteners or material;
7. To contact suppliers to be inform of the evolution of their offer;
8. To validate the creation of new components and drive their qualification;
9. To manage the corporate component database.
Requirements:
1. Good knowledge of Mechanical Engineering. Master degree in Mechanics or material;
2. A successful experience (>2 years) in design is preferred;
3. Good knowledge on metallic material, surface treatments, coatings, thermal treatments and other metal processes;
4. Good notions (or more) in Fasteners (Screw, rivet, nuts, washers,…) and plastic materials;
5. Familiar with national and international standards for metal (GB, JIS, AS/NZ…)
6. Knowledge of the worldwide market, suppliers and technology of metallic materials and fasteners;
7. Excellent communication skills including written and spoken English;
8. Ability to work efficiently as part of a worldwide team and international network;
9. Committed to Quality;
10. Proactive approach to achieve objectives and to solve problems.
