PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB
Responsible for Tooling and Indirect material sourcing, controlling the Total Cost of Ownership.
MAJOR FUNCTIONS
- Supplier selection, supplier negotiation, supplier consolidation, supplier contracting to ensure sourcing optimization and overall supplier performance.
- Driving business productivity metrics affected by indirect sourcing, ensuring PO accuracy, identifying new areas of opportunity to drive cost out, implement operating efficiency and improve productivity.
- Performing detailed cost analysis of components & manufacturing to ensure highest quality with competitive cost solution.
- Partnering with key business stakeholders to ensure sourced material and services meet the needs of the business.
- Driving improvements in sourcing processes including escalations due to delivery/quality issues, invoicing/payables issues, and database management.
- Analyzing of the indirect sourcing data and monthly reporting of the same.
- Conduct supplier Capacity Audits; track any Red Flags that impede supplier performance and control revisions at Suppliers.
- Compliance with company procedures.
- Manager assigned other things
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (Skill Sets)
Good integrity;
Bachelors' degree in engineering; Able to abstract complicated problem to logical process and to summarize key points;
5+ years working experience in sourcing, planning, or production position in manufacturing industry and at least 2+ years in sourcing included.
Experience in indirect field, incl. equipment, construction, spare parts, facility etc. Good knowledge of both goods and service purchasing is a plus.
Convincible experience in new supplier searching, investigation, evaluation and introduction to meet certain projects.
Good skills of supplier relationship management, total life cycle cost idea.
Cost sensitive and negotiation skills.
Good communication skills include presentation skills.
Familiar with Microsoft office.
Preferably spoken and written English
Result oriented.
Team spirit.
