Job Description:   The position is for a Materials Manager for U&IO. The individual should have worked as a Materials Manager for large scale multi-billion dollar projects preferably Utilities, Interconnecting & Offsite (UIO) in Oil & Gas/Petrochemical.Key responsibilities:·         Performs material control, procurement, logistics, Supplier Quality Surveillance (SQS)/inspection, and field material management activities in accordance with general business acumen, corporate Operating System Requirements (OSR), and the established project and Material Management Plans, policies, and procedures·         Performs the accurate, timely, and cost-effective identification, sourcing, buying, delivering, warehousing, installation, and commissioning of material and equipment required to support the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) effort·         Provides general and direct supervision to material management personnel assigned to the project·         Prepares all project set up documents such as Procurement Strategic Execution Plan, Procedures, Material Responsibility Matrix, Material Manager, commercial documents and template forms·         Prepares manpower plan and estimates to support the baseline and schedule. Constantly reviews execution teams with regards to change management and progress·         Applies extensive and diversified knowledge of material management practices and principals in work assignments·         Develops material requirements including specifications and scopes (working with Material Engineering and Material Control)·         Determines the required “flow down” clauses to be incorporated into the commercial terms and conditions or supplier commercial documents by utilizing the project prime contract·         Directs the development of all material management activities including, but not limited to, material identification, Request for Quotations, equipment and material delivery, installation and field commissioning, and project close-out·         Performs material management duties including key responsibility for critical project supplier negotiations·         Makes decisions independently with regard to problems and identifies solutions. Represents material management in conferences to resolve issues; plans and coordinates work·         Prepares and issues expediting status reportsBasic Job Requirements:Business/Engineering degree with 10-15 years’ experience in Oil & Gas (Offsite & Utilities) projects.Should have experience of Materials Management for a large and complex project - UIO, Oil & Gas.
